The Lord's Prayer: "Give us..."

Jesus is now teaching his disciples to ask for "things" in this prayer. Previously, the prayer has focused on the disciple aligning their wills and thoughts with God. Now, they are free to ask for things. When we pray "Give us...", we acknowledge God as our source.
